Kara’s Kang Ji Young Opens Up About BFF f(x)′s Sulli

Despite the bright lights and the fame, the entertainment industry can be the lonliest place in the world if you don’t have friends. 

Kara’s Kang Ji Young appeared on the October 24 broadcast of KBS’ Star Interview, where she talked about her close friendship with f(x)’s Sulli. 

“For two years after Kara’s debut, I didn’t have any celebrity friends,” said Kang Ji Young. 

That all changed, however, when f(x) made its debut in 2009.

“Kara was promoting Mister, and we ended up sharing a waiting room with f(x),” explained Kang Ji Young. “I wanted to be friends with Sulli, so I went up to her and said, ‘Hello. I was also born in 1994. Let’s be friends.’ And then we became friends.” 

“Sulli is a friend who gives me so much strength.” 

During the interview, Kang Ji Young was shown a surprise video of Sulli, who had nothing but good things to say.

“More than me being a support when Ji Young is having a hard time, Ji Young has been by my side even more,” said Sulli. “I’m very thankful to have her as my friend.”
